Hey Edelweiss .... got your tree up ?

We put up our *new* tree ....it looks very fun ...Thank you

there it is so far....it is slim, so it fits OK...we slid the cabinet down a bit...
BTW... there is the last cabinet I bought from Platte... $200...more than I probably had too,
but they delivered it too and I just couldn't find anything right at the thrift stores and I was outta time.
I do LOVE it though...I think it is Scandinavian


so this year, I only added a few ornaments that I had recently purchased
at Hobby Lobby, I haven't made anything yet....
since this is the S/O's first Christmas here and it is different from what his
family gatherings were like , I thought it would be cool transition to use mostly
his ornaments because he had all these old family decorations that have history.

at first, I thought...OMG...look at some of these crazy decorations,
this is gonna be a kid's tree....LOL....no matching, no rhyme or reason....LOL
and this tree you gave us had all these crazy colored lights that are built in so I can't even color coordinate ...
LOL... I can be such a brat

But now I just think the tree is so great

most all of his decors were made from someone in his family & for someone in his family


Look at these 2 handmade angels !! he says they are over 50 years old
the more I look at them, the more I fall in love with them.... learn something new
about myself every once & awhile.....LOL

I did add some purple lights and we will make or buy a star together this weekend

That tree never look that good at my house, I love it !!!

Those angels and about half the other ornaments on the tree are older than I am!

I decided I don't have enough cute family holiday traditions to pass on to my GRANDCHILDREN SOMEDAY !!!

so I bought an angel fairy ornament to represent my one & only babygirl that I can pass along

so here she is...her 1st Christmas, 2009 ... I think I will add a few things this weekend to make it more special

She's beautiful! Oh and the Christmas angel is pretty good-looking too.

It's a little tall for the tree,maybe it could be a tree topper
