Whole U.S. cities want to do a "corporate downsize"

this is so interesting ...

the article says Detroit may move forward with ideas tossed around since 1990
to just graze and sell big chunks of land....
other U.S. cities have done it, such as Youngstown, Ohio

i posted this on the lair. I think it's a great idea. maybe it is time to return to a little of what made this country grow and expand in the first place.

Just think. you can pick up 1000 acres for next to nothing. start a farm and have the government subsidize you not to grow anything.

would I have to actually live there?

Perhaps they can return to a hunter-gatherer form of economy.
