Proposal Set to Curb Bank Giants

President Barack Obama on Thursday is expected to propose new limits on the size and risk
taken by the country's biggest banks, marking the administration's latest assault on Wall Street
in what could mark a return, at least in spirit, to some of the curbs on finance put in place during
the Great Depression, according to congressional sources and administration officials.

my concern is it is the wrong stuff at the wrong time. we are starting to break out of the slide. consumer confidence is gaining but it is still shakey. what obama is doing now or proposing is going to send the market into a tailspin again. there is so much positive out there. higher than expected earnings by top compainies, strong 4th quarter sales for retail and such. the market should be moving higher, quicker. but it's lagging and even declining with his comments. he needs to move slower here and with less fan fare

He is having a backhanded smack to the Big Banks...
investors are very leary right now, some are not buying stock and some are even trying to sell their stock

that's my point exactly. this is all for show. he is hurting in the ratings so he is trying to give the appearance he is all over the percieved bad guys. people get antsy and wait to see what happens. this causes a slight drop. so now they start to panic a little a bigger drop and the chain reaction begins
