I got a toy Supercar for Christmas one year... probably about 1962 when the series was ending... not quite as detailed as this model, just a cheap plastic toy... but in my imagination I could often be found, flying around the living room in it... I still want one...

a little before me... looks cute though ...

I was into "Lost in Space" as a smaller child ... on to Star Trek , then Star Wars ...

been a Sci-fi chick ever since....

favs so far include Farscape, X-Files. Matrix, 5th Element .... but I like almost all of it

I sorta feel the call to watch most stuff from that genre' , at least once ...if only to check for new concepts,
or old ones expressed more uniquely..or maybe just for the latest innovations in artisitic direction and graphics

If I remember correctly, Supercar ended in 1962 and was replaced for 2 years by Fireball XL5, which was shown on NBC television. Gerry Anderson was English... he had a torrid affair with Sylvia while he was still married, and eventually divorced his wife to marry Sylvia, who became part of the production team for these shows... Fireball XL5 ran for 2 years and was replaced in 1964 by Stingray, the first of his full-color productions. Thunderbirds later succeeded the short-lived Stingray, and it was easily his most successful show, although I never watched it... I guess I was too old by then, but still nostalgic for the old black & white shows. He also had a live action feature film in 1964 called "Doppelganger: Journey to the Far Side of the Sun" which was a real mind-bender, but I lost interest after Stingray and Doppelganger.
