U.S. governors seek $1 trillion federal assistance

The governors of New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Ohio and Wisconsin -- all Democrats OK lets stop the madness. Remove the governors if they can't run their states and get someone that can.

I was reading something last week about South Carolina's Governor Sanford... he was playing a little hardball with the request for millions of ready-to-go federal aid earmarked for the states unemployment benefits, until the state's employment security commission agreed to produce a performance audit ... ... he took alot of flack....looks like they settled today.


I know laypeople were getting nervous and angry, and maybe he could have done it a better way... but it certainly got everyone's attention

I think a percentage of student loan forgiveness would be a fair gesture...

I think cutting my taxes in half would be a fair gesture. I paid my studend loans off long ago.
