New Year resolutions

Exercise more and I'm going to keep it.

eat healthier, tone a few parts, continue school, throw out old paperwork, visit my Mom more often,
lighten up on a few things, get serious about a few different things,
start my own personal revolution and see who still likes me after the fallout,
write a companion book to the current bestseller "He's just not that into you ...", titled "Why should SHE be into you?"

Exercise every morning.

As far as resolutions go this one sucks I guess, but I am stealing the lines from a song (and I am not stealing the entire song, just these lines).

In my experience, life rarely follows our pre-conceived, charted course. So my resolution is to take what comes, and do the very best with it I can.

giggles...reminds me of that kitchy saying...Life is what happens while you're busy making plans


then I ponder the quip ...how far can you open your mind before your brains fall out?

much of self-help advice is hard to reconcile, really it is ... exactly what does one assume responsibility for ?

Alberta boy, I was reading your post again... I also remebered the so-called epiphany I had in my 30's...
I spent at least 6 months muttering to myself "best drop all pre-conceived notions of what your life is gonna be like"

I spent about the next 10 years doing stuff 'on the fly' ... while I don't have a whole lot of major regrets, I do have a few, mostly financial issues .....and I am now thinking that is not the best psuedo-plan either

I have plans, those aren't the same as resolutions.

I am registered in a course for work, I am taking a trip to Australia in the fall, I want to take a couple courses for my own satisfaction and growth. I already don't smoke (never did so it was not some great force of will thing), rarely drink, and then only minmally, don't do drugs, already exercise. I suppose I could resolve to see the doctor for that overdue physical, but somehow that doesn't seem to fit the spirit of most resolutions. It is a one off kinda thing.

But come February, how many resolutions are already passed on, been written off as unworkable? I will stick with my resolution - it is one that life pretty much forces me to keep. If I am successsful. I will be better off at the end of the year then I am now. Which is after all, the purpose of almost all resolutions.

To avoid the rush I started today. Tomorrow I'll watch football while on the treadmill.

Good luck on the stop smoking. It will do your health good.

the kennedy's had to pay jackie a million bucs to keep her from leaving him and to stay silent
