I went to my Mom's, my daughter and future son-in-law were there, Mom's husband cooked all the main food while Mom made fancy hors D'oeurves with shrimp, lockes, exotic cheeses and fun sauces ...we had wine and spiked eggnog...
played BlackJack until dinner ...and exchanged gifts

I gave & received alot of nice gifts and gifts cards... it was fun to eat, drink and be cheery with loved ones.

I hosted our family Christmas party for about 20 people including my stepson, mom, two cousins, two brothers, and their extended families. Didn't have to do much cooking, because it was pot luck as usual, where almost everybody brings a dish or two of their own for a planned family gathering. This was my second year hosting the party, and, just like last year, I let my sister-in-law do most of the dinner planning... she likes doing it and would try to take over the job if I tried to do it myself, anyway, lol. This year's party was bigger than usual and bigger than last year... we were only about 5 people short of having "everybody" there... it is always great to see members of the family that I don't get to see all year, but I still missed seeing the few who couldn't come, and one in particular.

Christmas Eve was at our house and Christmas day I just relaxed. I did eat tooooo much!

I layed on the couch and watched TV. Fun I know. but I messed up some of the muscles healing on my leg and the doc told me to rest a bit.

Now I'm on the treadmill most days.
