18 CommentsSimply massive scenes in Germany, this morning, where a psychic octopus has predicted that the Old Enemy will come out as victors of Sunday's colossal World Cup fixture.

At Oberhausen Sea Life Centre the mollusc named Paul (born in England, the Judas...) has correctly forecast the outcome of all Germany's games so far. He also boasted an 80% record when he predicted how Germany would do at Euro 2008.

Two plastic boxes, one with the St George's cross and one with the German flag were lowered into Paul's tank. Each had some tasty food inside. The box which Paul opened was judged to be the winner of the game.

Sure enough the eight legged oracle ghosted towards the Germany box and tucked in.

That's it then. England may as well pack their bags.

it's not quite a romance language like french or italian. lol

I like the english we use here in USA ... who else is so quick to officially embrace new words the general public
makes up

I agree.."Ich Liebe Dich" sounds more like a command than an expression of love...

lol. everything sounds like something an angry SS officer would be shouting. I actually love the language and started teaching myself awhile ago. I should really get back to it.
