Wild Turkey Attacks, Traps Sheriff's Deputy in Own Cruiser
Nov. 16, 2009 source: all over the net right now LANDSDOWNE, Va.
Thanksgiving is coming, and it appears the turkeys may be fighting back. An angry flock of turkeys that roosts in Landsdowne, Virginia has taken to attacking commuters.
Last week it even went after the police.
Animal Control Officer Virginia Newsome responded after the bird trapped a sheriff's deputy in his car. When Newsome approached, the turkey stood his ground.
"He just looked right at me and wasn't concerned a bit," she said.
