| oh that is cute...minimum wage went up to $7.25 ...
and experts say they expect the extra few quarters the teenagers, starving college students and low-skilled labor force ( ?? polite term for what? ) are gonna soon be seeing on their paychecks
"to significantly add to the nations stimulus plan."
I swear..... they just reported it ... experts are curious lot

I swear..... they just reported it ... experts are curious lot I'm sure those extra quarters would do a lot to boost our local economy... if only the local people could get minimum wage JOBs so as to earn those extra quarters.

What do the "experts" know about anything? They're all being paid by the government.

" we'll just have to give up and close" Most of the small mom & pops here closed their doors years ago.

| It's such a tragedy, too. We had some great mom and pop stores around when we first moved here, not they've all been replaced with Home Depot and WalMart, neither of which is worth a damn. | |

There's still some mom and pop type places here and they are the best to eat at.

We still have a few sit-down breakfast cafe's and smorgasbords who serve on real plates instead of cardboard and some of them even offer things besides just meat potatoes bread and salad. But they're rapidly vanishing.

Its usually very tasty but they really are truly cholesterol emporiums.

I like the kinds of restauarants where they have words for vegetables other than "potatoes" and "salad."
