the goblin is thinking about the crop circles again, and thinking something obvious too, that we might not be alone but that it changes nothing for the average person living today, anymore than those colonists changed much when they first turned up in America, "...later perhaps but not now, besides if they were hostile towards us, wouldn't they just take what they want, so just how many more crops circles have to appear before we either find those human culprits who are capable of these sudden overnight super human feats, or accept the more likely explanation here..." ventured the goblin at it

the goblin was quite known by now, true, but he simply said "...recognition is both fickle and trapping, so "just don't care a fig about recognition" is my advice and my view, in that if you alone, like your own works, then that's all that matters here whereas, even if everyone else likes your works where you didn't, you simply risk ending up like Colan Doyle who finally hated his own creation "Sherlock Holmes" because that was all they ever wanted from him...", and yet the goblin needed to converse, he couldn't tell how many times someones reply on a thread, had set this mind thinking anew culminating in yet another post from him, so the goblin then explained "...I guess it's all a balance between "listening", which you should do, and "compromising" which you shouldn't, who knows, perhaps one day I'll have fall to my death clutching this Slot to its end, but I don't think I'd get away with it any more than Doyle could when he tried to do exactly that with his creation "Sherlock Holmes" in that way...", somehow the goblin just laughed knowing that he would more likely out live the old fart writing this now, but perhaps that then he been the old fart's plan all along

"...I think a few turns on the Merry-Go-Round might make things clearer..." c/thru concluded, bong Zebedee appeared "...hello c/thru..." said Zebedee, "...hello Zebedee..." said c/thru, "...ah a Merry-Go-Round, well golly I haven't seen one of those since that love-scene between Dougal and Florence got cut out of the script, pity, but mind you it was British television so those viewers would have probably understood even less than what they had already understood by then which was near to nothing if I recall rightly not that they ever wanted "answers" that is, they wanted "escape", oh I see you have met the goblin, hello flea..." said Zebedee "...hello Zebedee..." said the goblin "...hello c/thru..." said the goblin "...hello flea..." said c/thru adding "...btw goblin have you ever heard of the thirty nine steps, it's just someone mentioned them and..." her look was sharper than her question, "...depends which ones, you see most people think of it as some climax to the book, some secret process, but what if Buchan in writing the book while recuperating from illness at St Cuby house had actually seen a real staircase there then...", Zebedee's moustache twitched again, his head swiveled around to c/thru saying"...I get it, it's the same as the magic roundabout itself that we puppets never actually ride on the roundabout since those other puppets do, a second set of puppets then, their story is never told, central in the plot but irrelevant at the same time..." bong Zebedee disappeared into c/thru's past again, c/thru's mind was on to something she felt
