Holiday Shopping....

Why?

I finished my Holiday shopping by September... I did it all on-line, no lines, no shipping charges, got what I need, and saved a lot too!

I live in an area that has 4 HUGE Malls (within a 10 mile radius). Compound that by the fact my state does not impose a sales tax on clothing, and in this area, a very low tax (3%) on all other items. We get shoppers from 3 outlaying states...which makes it a bitch to go shopping at this time of year!

Traffic, limited parking (unless you get there 2 hours before opening), and Lines & Lines of irate shoppers...why bother?

mine is almost done ...mostly gift cards actually, just need a few stocking stuffers, as we traditionally do that

I absolutely will not be out on Black Friday !!!


I think we may have an online party here since we missed the Trollfest for 2010

I'm actually about to get offline and meet Tango for some holiday shopping and a nice lunch...

and we need to plan our Thanksgiving celebration... everyone makes their signature dishes and we all share

looked around at Best Buy ... I want a new cell phone, but I cannot make sense of all the new smart phones... Droid, iPhone, and Dell just introduced their new smartphone ... it's kinda big though

and I just don't think I need my phone to go online too...and that adds like another $30 -$50 to an already too high bill ...

I just want to trade in my razor for something with a keypad because all the younger people at work insist on sending texts


and when did all the Companies band together for a 2 year contract or pay $1000 for a phone ?

man, I remember when they use to compete harder and practically gave you a phone, a good phone

whatever... I've been off contract with T Mobile for over a year now and nothing .. nada... not one decent offer .... just a notice that the great deal I had is antiquated and I need to pick a new one

looked at ...wait a minute...tried to look at the Wii section for some accessories for gift giving,
I have no clue what is going on with all that...it looks like fun, but you can't even begin to sample any units because the area looks like a drop -off day care

I'm still dusting off my old Xbox... guess it can go in storage next to my old atari


here's a tip : never pass up the Sushi joint for the Golden Corral buffet on a Sunday after Church lets out

but overall, it was a lovely day

i want my old rotary phone back.
